Opportunities provided by the FOUNDATION
The CSBE/SCGAB Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship is to recognize academic excellence among student members of the Society. The Scholarship can be awarded each year to the student member of the Society with the highest GPA in the preceding semester (based on a minimum of 12 credit hours and the GPA must qualify the recipient to appear on the Dean’s Honor List). The scholarship recipient will receive a cash award of $ 300.00. The Department Head or his/her designate will select one scholarship recipient per year per department.
Past Foundation funding projects have also included the UG student design projects (1/4-scale tractor competition; application forms available), and payment of first-time-ever graduate student Society dues.
Opportunities provided by the SOCIETY
UG student Society dues for all UG years are sponsored by the Society.
Awards for UG student paper, thesis and design projects and Grad student (MSc and PhD) thesis prizes are available. Full details of the procedures for accessing these prizes can be found on line at www.bioeng.ca in the Procedure and Operation Manual, pg 8 Student Competitions. Please observe all deadlines.
Note: To take advantage of any of these student opportunities, the student must be a member of CSBE/SCGAB. Application forms are available online at www.bioeng.ca.
