Each year, the CSBE/SCGAB presents Awards and Grade of Fellows to celebrate and encourage excellence within the Canadian bioengineering community. Please consider nominating a member.

2016 Fellow Award

Ron McDonald Ronald MacDonald, P. Eng., is awarded the CSBE/SCGAB Grade of Fellow for his dedicated service to the profession and his contributions to the Society. He is currently an Associate Engineer with AMEC in Cambridge, ON. Ron received his Engineering degree from the University of Guelph in 1981 and stayed in the area to practice engineering and excel in the area of energy management assisting both agricultural and industrial clients with high quality engineering solutions for their enterprises. In addition, Ron has served the engineering profession throughout his career at the local, national and international level. He has been recognized for his leadership in developing several ASABE Technical Standards which are utilized globally. Specifically regarding CSBE/SCGAB, he has served as Ontario Director (1988 - 1990), Secretary-Treasurer (1989 - 2002) the Awards Committee (2005 - 2013) and President (2011 - 2012). In 1996 Ron was named Engineer of the Year by CSBE/SCGAB and in 2004 received the John Turnbull Award, followed by the Maple Leaf Award in 2008 for his leadership and contributions to the engineering profession.

Ronald MacDonald P. Eng., est décerné le CSBE/SCGAB Grade of Fellow pour son service dédié au profession et ses contributions à la société. Il est couramment ingénieur associé avec AMEC en Cambridge, Ontario. Ron a reçu son baccalauréat en génie de l'université de Guelph en 1981 et il est resté dans la région pour pratiquer le génie dans la domaine de conservation d'énergie. Il assiste les clients industriels et en agriculture avec les solutions d'une qualité supérieur pour leur entre- prises. De plus, Ron a servi la domaine de génie pendant son carrière au niveau local, national et international. Il est reconnu pour son leadership en développant plusieurs ASABE standards technique qui sont utilisés globalement. En concernant CSBE/SCGAB, il a servi comme Directeur de l'Ontario (1988-1990), Secrétaire et Trésorier (1989-2002), la Comité des Prix (2005-2013), et Président (2011- 2012). En 1996, Ron était nommé Ingénieur de l'Année par CSBE/ SCGAB et en 2004 il a reçu le prix John Turnbull. En 2008 il a reçu le prix Maple Leaf pour son leadership et contributions à la profession de génie.
