New executive director designate for ASABE

I am pleased to inform you that Darrin Drollinger has accepted our offer to be the new Executive Director of ASABE, pending confirmation by the Board of Trustees on June 20. Darrin is a 21-year member of ASABE and has more than 20 years of experience in association management, currently serving as Vice President of Statistics, Technical and Safety Services for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). His interest in agricultural and biological engineering began in his family’s greenhouse business while he was growing up in Ohio, and continued as a student at The Ohio State University where he graduated with a BS in Agricultural Engineering. He also earned an MBA degree from Loyola University.

Darrin brings to the Executive Director position outstanding leadership skills, extensive association management and international relations experience, and a passion for agricultural and biological engineering. Upon accepting the position Darrin stated, “I'm honored to be nominated as the ninth leader for the Society in our 103-year history.” As President of our great Society, I am certain the future for ASABE is very promising with Darrin as the Executive Director. Please join me in welcoming him.
