The Department of Biosystems Engineering at the University of Manitoba invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the area of Stored Grain Ecosystem Modelling (Position 28338) with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2020.
The successful candidate is expected to: 1) develop an innovative, externally-funded research program in the area of grain storage management (i.e., cooling, drying, quality monitoring) that is based on modelling of stored-grain ecosystems; 2) contribute to the training of graduate students and other research personnel; 3) collaborate with other academics in the department and faculty, Agricultural & Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Cereal Research Station scientists, and the broader university community where common interests or synergies may exist; 4) teach existing undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Biosystems Engineering program, and develop new courses in your area of expertise; 5) participate in the department’s committee responsibilities within the University of Manitoba community; and 6) engage relevant stakeholders (industry, producer groups and government) in Manitoba and the broader community.
