2011 CSBE/SCGAB Annual Conference

The Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) invites you to the 2011 CSBE/SCGAB Annual Conference that will take place July 10-13, 2011 in Winnipeg, MB. The Conference will be held at the Inn at the Forks located at the historic junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers in downtown Winnipeg. “Growing Renewable Energy” has been selected as the theme for the Conference.  A full day of the Conference will be devoted to industry tours that fit within this theme. At this point, the LAC would like to encourage you to consider sharing the results of your research at the Conference.  Any research relevant to the Society will be included in the technical program; however, we are particularly interested in soliciting papers in the following areas that relate to our theme of “Growing Renewable Energy”:

  1. Renewable and alternative fuels (biofuels, biomass, livestock waste)
  2. Technologies for farm-generated energy
  3. Sustainable agricultural practices
  4. Green buildings
  5. Environmental impacts related to renewable energy
  6. Renewable energy legislation, incentives, and commercialization

The technical program will consist of both oral and poster presentations and you will be notified which format is requested of you later in the spring.

More details about the Conference such as registration, tours, local arrangements, and tourist information are available now the Society website https://www.bioeng.ca/agm2011
