2014 ASABE and CSBE Annual International Meeting: a Successful Conference

The Canadian Society for Bioengineering (CSBE/SCGAB) thanks its three major sponsors during its annual meeting held in Montréal on July 13-16, 2014: the Québec Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries (MAPAQ), the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and MacDon Industries. The conference, organized jointly with the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), was attended by 1,607 participants from 35 countries, including 1,063 Americans, 264 Canadians, 115 Chinese, 44 South Koreans and 21 Brazilians. More than 1,000 technical papers were presented on engineering applied to agriculture, food and the environment. The Society thanks its sponsors and numerous volunteers who contributed to a highly successful conference.

La Société canadienne de génie agroalimentaire et de bioingénierie (CSBE/SCGAB) remercie ses trois commanditaires majeurs lors de la conférence annuelle tenue à Montréal du 13 au 16 juillet 2014 : le Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ), le ministère de l’agriculture, de l’alimentation et des affaires rurales de l’Ontario (MAAARO) et MacDon Industries. La conférence conjointe avec la Société américaine de génie agroalimentaire (ASABE) a réuni 1607 participants provenant de 35 pays, dont 1063 Américains, 264 Canadiens, 115 Chinois, 44 Coréens du sud et 21 Brésiliens. Plus de 1000 communications techniques y ont été présentées en ingénierie appliquée à l’agriculture, l’alimentation et l’environnement. La Société remercie ses commanditaires et les nombreux bénévoles qui ont contribué au succès de cet événement.
