Abstract submission

Each abstract is limited to 250 words. An abstract is indicative of the final paper quality. Therefore, authors are urged to prepare a well written, clear and informative abstract describing the work with emphasis on objectives and factual results. An abstract should include key words related to conference topics.

In the submission form, authors are asked to indicate their preference for an oral presentation (15 minutes) or a poster. The scientific committee will try to satisfy each author’s first choice. The Conference will include some free time periods to facilitate exchange and discussion. Authors are encouraged to comply with submission deadlines and to ensure that their paper proposal is relevant to conference topics. Authors will be notified automatically of their submission. A review and decision concerning acceptance should be received by submitters 2 weeks after the submission deadline.

Once an abstract is accepted, the author is encouraged to prepare a full paper. A maximum of 10 pages is recommended for the paper on standard paper (Letter, 216 mm by 279 mm), including tables and figures.

Paper upload

The full paper template should be used to submit the final paper including an abstract of less than 250 words.  All full papers or abstracts will be archived on a web site for future reference.

Paper template: AGM2024-papertemplate.docx

Your full paper or extended abstract should be uploaded by TBD to be included on the website and accessible during the conference. Papers uploaded after this date may not be available at conference time but will be included on our website.

Accepted submission will be included in the preliminary program prepared in June 2024.

Instructions for oral presentations

The oral presentations are scheduled on 8-10 July 2024.  The schedule for each technical session and your abstract will be available on line here: Abstract Submission System.

Please bring a USB memory stick with your presentation to the session room at least 10 minutes before the start of your session (not your presentation). This will allow your moderator to meet you and load your presentation onto the computer set up in the presentation room. There are several concurrent presentation rooms, so confirm you are in the correct one.  Presentations should not exceed fifteen (12) minutes, to allow some time for questions. Your moderator will keep note of the time and ensure that that things keep on schedule, which may mean cutting short presentations that go over the allocated time.

Thanks for all your hard work to date and support of the CSBE. We look forward to meeting you at the conference!

Instructions for poster presentations

Posters are to be available to viewing throughout the conference. Please arrive to put up your poster on Sunday afternoon (1-5pm) or Monday morning (before 12:30 pm) in the Room (TBD).

Do ensure that your poster is in portrait orientation and does not exceed 36 inches (width) x 48 inches (height).  The Registration desk will provide push pins for you to attach your poster to the posterboards.  There will be 2 posters on each side of the board = 4 posters displayed per board.
